How Commercial Security Monitoring Benefits Your Business During Quarantine

April 3, 2020|fsstechnologies

Instating work from home policies to protect your employees and help to stop the potential spread of COVID-19 is one step that organizations are taking to keep their company safe. But, with all your employees at home, how can you protect the other assets that make up your business?

Regardless of the type of company that you run, you are responsible for the building, technology, equipment, and other assets within your property. More than ever, this is the time to install commercial monitoring in your workplace.

Cyberattacks have increased, and cybersecurity is a popular topic at this time. However, your physical business is also at increased risk since it is entirely unprotected.

FSS Technologies is here to help, and to ensure your business’ safety, we will keep our monitoring center open. We can do our consultations virtually or while maintaining social distancing guidelines, and we can complete the installation of your security system when no one is in your business. We will, of course, disinfect everything we touch and install, focusing on providing a quick and seamless process.

Police Response is Changing

Police forces around the world are aiming to limit in-person contact as much as possible to keep police officers safe. These new procedures mean that police stations will screen situations to determine if they can be resolved with limited or no on-scene response.

According to the Police Executive Research Forum, many agencies are closing police stations to the public and encouraging officers to respond to non-emergency/non-violent calls by phone or without leaving their vehicle.

In these cases, if a burglar breaks into your business and the loss of property is minor, there is no violence, and there is no ongoing emergency, it is unlikely that officers will risk their health to respond in person.

Not All Burglars are in Quarantine

Just because everyone should be staying at home, doesn’t mean that criminals are. Since there is no one at your business, commercial security monitoring is the protection that your business requires.

We are Still Monitoring

FSS is still operational following the local shelter-in-place guidelines. We continue to take every precaution to keep our employees safe and healthy.

With all these health standards in place, we continue to focus on the security of our clients and their property. Our monitoring services are operational 24 hours 7 days a week, and we will contact you as soon as an alarm or motion is detected within your business.

Please give us a call to learn more and have a security expert contact you.
